Mythical Chronology of Greece

The mythical chronology of Greece is depicted in this website in the form of a timeline. The website provides information and pictures of the ancient Hellenic time period. They use timelines to inform the user of the series of events in certain topics of the period. This timeline about Greek mythology is a static timeline with a very basic feel. However, it has very useful information, links to learn more about each mythical figure, and it is very clear and comprehensible.
The timeline is split up into the Hesiod Ages until it gets to the Hellenic wars. Of all the events in Greek Mythology, this timeline hits all the events, even the small, seemingly unimportant ones. It doesn't initially give the reader a lot of detail, however, it gives links to all the mythical characters to give the user more information.
The timeline provides information for the Greek history part of the website as mythology was a large part of the culture throughout Greek history and still is today. All the information is brief and has sources at the bottom of the page.
While the timeline matches the rest of the website, in my opinion, they could have made it more interesting and interactive for the user. While a 3D timeline may have been a little over the top for the subject, it could use a little more graphics and color. The events and the dates are all one size font, making them a little hard to decipher one from the other. The timelines are also very spread mouton their website. It is a little difficult to find where they are.
This timeline is brief, simple and gets the point across without being over the top with the visual images.
